About Promise Mudzingwa
Promise Mudzingwa is a recent graduate of the Bachelor of Dramatic Arts degree (Majoring in Theatre Practice) at Excelsia College. Having had an acting scholarship with Bell Shakespeare (2020), Promise wanted to continue her journey with creative arts. Her first acting performance at Excelsia was Shakespeare's Macbeth (2021), only the beginning of new opportunities.
Promise's passions shifted from acting to stage management, directing, and design working primarily as a stage manager. She was trained in stage managing by Mary Benn, a nationally known stage manager, and Georgiane Deal, the stage manager of Tina Turner the Musical. Promise recently completed a stage management internship with Bell Shakespeare, working on the touring success, MACBETH, presented at the Sydney Opera House (2023). Her stage-managing career is best described as a touring stage manager, working on shows in Sydney and Tasmania, joining the rehearsal process towards the end of the production period. She is a Sydney/Tasmania based artist, ready to take on new adventures.
